It didn’t take me long to escape the cold of the UK and 2015 kicked off with a training camp in Gran Canaria at the start of January where it was good to get some sailing done in the swell.
I then headed to Miami for the first ISAF World Cup of 2015. We had a bit more breeze than Miami usually serves up with the steep chop making for a pretty physical first day of racing. We had breeze from a different direction nearly every day and it was very shifty making for challenging racing. I finished up 5th with some simple errors proving costly.
Arriving back in the UK I headed to Laser Performance to pick up a new boat for the rest of the season and am looking forward to the next few months of training before the European regatta circuit kicks off.
